Whether you have braces, periodontal issues or are just looking for a gentler way to clean between your teeth, water flossers have come a long way in making it easier to care for your smile. Not only do they remove up to 99.9 per cent of plaque, they are also up to 50 per cent more effective for improving gum health compared to string floss.
The Canadian Dental Association (CDA) recommends flossing at least once a day before brushing your teeth with either string floss or a water flosser. For those just getting started with water flossers, follow these CDA directions:
